Index
Files hosted in the cloud
All files accessed through GET are hosted on Amazon's Web Services Simple Storage Service (S3)
What does this mean to you, the average consumer who doesn't care about web service buzzwords? Speed.
S3 has enough dedicated bandwidth to ensure your file downloads will be blisteringly fast. Most likely, the speed of your download of files on GET will depend on how large your internet connection is. It will no longer be limited by the size of our server's connection and how many users are using the service at the time.
Download carts
You may have noticed the cart icon in the middle of the navigation bar and thought, "Gee, I'm not on a shopping site. What is that doing there?"
We took some inspiration from shopping carts and implemented the same idea in GET. If you add files to your download cart, they sit there and wait for you to check out. When you are ready to go, GET dynamically generates a zip file containing your files and sends it your way.
Unread content count
In the left-hand side bar, you may notice multi-colored number next to feature categories. Those numbers indicate the number of unread releases each category has. The counters clear when you see the releases, so you can use them to keep track of when you have new content to download.
Search
GET introduces a feature we heard many requests for on the old site: a search function. The search bar searches through column, comics and features to return the most relevant results possible. We are still tweaking the search algorithm, so look for it to improve in the future.
Photos
You can download your features' high res mugshots directly from GET. To access them, navigate to the feature page (either by searching or clicking on the feature name in the left side menu) and click on Feature Details in the upper right corner. Mugshots are available under the Downloads section of the feature details page.
